Kiddie City Little Stars and KCLS Academy operate as one school family across two Nassau campuses — #37 East Avenue, Centerville, and #239 Baillou Hill Road. Families can begin with Kiddie City in infancy and continue seamlessly into KCLS Academy for primary school, through Grade 6, without changing schools or communities.

Katera “Kay” Davis
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Katera “Kay” Davis is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kiddie City Little Stars Nursery and KCLS Academy. She provides executive leadership across the school’s early-childhood and primary education programs, with responsibility for institutional direction, campus development, operational standards and long-term growth.
Her leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that education must prepare children for both academic success and life. She remains committed to creating safe, structured and nurturing learning environments where children develop confidence, character, independence and a lasting love for learning. Kay works closely with school administrators, educators and families to strengthen educational quality, accountability and the overall student experience.
A Message from Our Founder and CEO
Welcome to Kiddie City Little Stars Nursery and KCLS Academy.
When we welcome a child into our school, we also welcome their family. We understand the trust parents place in us, and we do not take that responsibility lightly.
Our purpose has always been to create a school where children feel safe, loved and excited to learn. From a baby’s earliest months through the primary-school years, we want every child to be known, encouraged and given the foundation they need to move confidently into the future.
We believe education must prepare children not only for the classroom, but also for life. Alongside strong academics, we teach the importance of faith, honesty, kindness, respect, discipline, responsibility and service to others. These principles help children make good decisions, overcome challenges and grow into confident, compassionate and responsible individuals.
Children should learn the value of working hard, treating others well, taking responsibility for their actions and remaining willing to explore new ideas. We encourage them to believe in themselves while understanding that true success includes good character, humility and concern for others.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same: improving our programs, supporting our educators, strengthening communication with families and creating learning environments in which every student can thrive.

Floor Supervisor and Head Nursery Caregiver
Dedriee Ritchardson helps oversee the daily care, safety and comfort of our youngest children at Kiddie City Little Stars Nursery.
As Floor Supervisor and Head Nursery Caregiver, she works closely with the Preschool Director and nursery team to maintain a calm, clean, nurturing and well-organized environment. She helps coordinate daily routines, supports caregivers and ensures that each child receives attentive, age-appropriate care throughout the day.
Dedriee understands that babies and young children thrive when they feel safe, secure and genuinely loved. Her approach emphasizes patience, consistency and careful attention to each child’s individual needs.
She also recognizes the importance of maintaining open communication with families. By helping parents feel informed and reassured, she strengthens the partnership between home and nursery that is essential to every child’s well-being and development.
Her steady presence, caregiving experience and commitment to high standards make her an important part of the Kiddie City Little Stars leadership and care team.
